Set up an indoor obstacle course

Tip 1

Set up an obstacle course in your living room using cushions, chairs, and other items. Challenge your child to crawl under tables, jump over pillows, balance on a line of tape on the floor.

Make Paper Towel Roll Binoculars

Tip 2

Two empty paper towel rolls taped together can become a pair of binoculars. Decorate them with stickers or paint, then go on a "safari" around the house or backyard, spotting imaginary animals and hidden treasures.

Create a Blanket Fort Reading Nook

Tip 3

Use blankets, sheets, and cushions to create a cozy fort in the living room. Drape the blankets over chairs or a table, fill it with pillows, and bring in a flashlight and a stack of books. It’s the perfect spot for a reading adventure.

Try playing Balloon Tennis at home

Tip 4

Create makeshift tennis rackets by taping paper plates to wooden spoons or craft sticks. Blow up a balloon and use the "rackets" to bat the balloon back and forth. This is a great indoor activity without the risk of breaking anything.

Sock/Wool ball toss is fun

Tip 5

Create a simple ball or wool toss game by rolling up socks/wool into balls. Set up targets around the room, like a laundry basket or an open box, and challenge your child to "score points" by tossing the sock/wool balls into the targets.
